SLS Baha Mar Wedding Officiant
SLS Baha Mar brings a design-forward, high-energy character to the Baha Mar complex — 299 rooms, over 30,000 square feet of event space, one wedding per day, and signature venues that range from Cable Beach sand to rooftop panoramas and award-winning restaurants. Glenn Ferguson is a Licensed Bahamas Marriage Officer and WPIC-Certified Wedding Planner who works independently of SLS’s event team to perform legal ceremonies at every setting the resort offers.

SLS Baha Mar Wedding — Key Facts
SLS Baha Mar — Design-Forward Luxury on Cable Beach
SLS Baha Mar is the most energetic and design-conscious of the three Baha Mar hotels. Where the Rosewood is refined quiet luxury and the Grand Hyatt is scale and accessibility, SLS brings a high-spirited aesthetic — theatrical interiors, award-winning culinary experiences, and a nightlife scene that makes it the natural choice for couples who want their wedding weekend to extend well beyond the ceremony. Named Condé Nast Traveler’s #2 Resort in the Atlantic Islands in 2025.

Where to Get Married at SLS Baha Mar
SLS’s 30,000+ square feet of event space gives couples a genuinely diverse range of ceremony settings — from toes-in-the-sand beach ceremonies to rooftop golden-hour vows to nightclub after-parties. Glenn advises on which suits your vision and guest count.
Cable Beach Beachfront
SLS’s private Cable Beach frontage with capacity for up to 600 guests — the largest beachfront ceremony capacity in the Baha Mar complex. White sand, turquoise water, and the SLS resort backdrop. Glenn’s most-requested SLS setting.
Rooftop Pavilion
SLS’s rooftop venue with panoramic ocean and resort views. Among the most photographically distinctive ceremony settings at Baha Mar. Particularly striking at golden hour. Skybar terrace adjacent for cocktail receptions.
SLS Ballroom
Elegant indoor ballroom with capacity for up to 200 guests. Contemporary design, full AV, and flexible layout. The preferred setting for evening ceremonies and large-scale receptions when weather or privacy dictates an indoor format.
Coastal Chic Indoor Studios
4,500 square feet of light-filled indoor event space with natural light pre-function areas. Suited to intimate ceremonies of 20 to 60 guests who want a designed indoor setting rather than ballroom scale.
Poolside — Bungalow
SLS’s poolside venue alongside the lush tropical gardens and signature pools. Relaxed, contemporary, and visually distinctive. Popular for daytime ceremonies and cocktail-hour receptions with a pool-party atmosphere.
Privilege Nightclub
10,000 sq ft venue with state-of-the-art sound and DJ booth. Not a ceremony setting — the ideal after-party space for couples who want their Baha Mar wedding weekend to extend into the night. Glenn coordinates the full weekend flow.
SLS vs. Rosewood vs. Grand Hyatt at Baha Mar
All three Baha Mar hotels share the same Cable Beach complex and Baha Mar infrastructure. The choice between them is about atmosphere, scale, and wedding style. Glenn officiates at all three.

How an SLS Baha Mar Wedding Works
The marriage licence is obtained in Nassau. Glenn accompanies all his SLS clients through each step and coordinates the full wedding weekend timeline if needed.
Book Glenn
WhatsApp Glenn with your SLS dates, preferred ceremony setting, and guest count. He confirms availability and sends your document checklist same day.
Affidavit & licence
After 24 hours in Nassau, Glenn takes you to the Notary Public ($95) then the Registrar General ($100). Both handled in a single trip — typically 2–3 hours total.
The ceremony
Glenn performs the legal ceremony at your chosen SLS setting — beach, rooftop, ballroom, or studios. Register signed on the day. Rehearsal dinner at Katsuya or Fi’lia the night before if desired.
Certificate & apostille
Glenn retrieves your certified certificate ($20) and handles apostille processing ($120 gov fee) and international shipping from Nassau after you check out.
Complete SLS Baha Mar Wedding Fee Breakdown
SLS accommodation, catering, and venue hire booked separately with the resort. All wedding services subject to 10% Bahamas VAT. All fees in Bahamian dollars (1:1 USD).
“SLS is the right choice when a couple wants their wedding to feel like an event rather than a ceremony-followed-by-dinner. The rooftop is spectacular — you are looking out over the entire Baha Mar complex and the ocean beyond. Katsuya is genuinely one of the best restaurants in Nassau for a rehearsal dinner or wedding reception; the food matches the setting. The one-wedding-per-day commitment means you are not competing for space with another wedding party. I work independently of the SLS event team, which is standard practice for a Licensed Marriage Officer — we coordinate on logistics but the legal elements are handled through me. For couples who want a chic, design-forward experience with real culinary credentials and a party that can go late, SLS is the Baha Mar hotel that delivers it.”
“Jackie and I decided to get married at Baha Mar. All I can say is WOW. Glenn was absolutely the best. He handled our marriage license, found us a perfect spot on the beach, prepared meaningful personal vows and did it all beautifully. He made the whole experience very special.”
“Glenn is a rockstar! He took care of every detail — marriage license, venue, everything. Not one misstep. He was very responsive and always available and incredibly professional. He put Mark and I at ease with the whole process.”
